DEVOTHA KENETH KALINGA
My journey with UWEZO PROGRAM began in 2016 when, as a student at Kondo Secondary School, I had the privilege of being among students from the first 20 secondary schools to participate. From that moment, the program became a transformative force in my life, equipping me with invaluable skills and shaping my personal and professional growth. I gained confidence, refined my leadership abilities, and developed strong planning, organizational, and implementation skills—foundations that continue to define my career today. Between 2017 and 2019, I had the honor of giving back by serving as the UWEZO AWARD Project Coordinator for Ubungo District. This role deepened my sense of responsibility, accountability, and effective communication while teaching me the importance of seizing opportunities to create a meaningful impact. Today, I stand tall, a testament to the profound impact of the UWEZO PROGRAM. The knowledge and skills I acquired have not only empowered me but have also enabled me to uplift others—whether through teaching, mentorship, or leadership. As the Head of the Marketing Unit at United African Technical College and an active player in other business endeavors, I continue to champion growth, excellence, and transformation in every space I engage in.
